​The event has been hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology since 2011 with the original name of Techdemo. From 2020 until now, it has been implemented under the name Techconnect and Innovation. This is an opportunity for domestic and international organizations and individuals to demonstrate and introduce new and advanced technologies that have been transferred and mastered. At the same time, it is a forum to exchange and discuss the completion and effective implementation of new policy solutions on connecting technology supply and demand, contributing to promoting application, innovation, transfer and develop the S&T market.

Techconnect and Innovation Viet Nam aims to strengthen connections, promote the formation and development of a network of links between elements in the national innovation system.

Over the years, it has been built and deployed to suit Vietnam's conditions based on the model of organizing activities connecting technology supply and demand in Japan, Korea, and the US. The event includes 3 main activities: Demonstrating and connecting technology supply and demand in regions to summarize and evaluate the results of a series of activities in 1 year of implementation, evaluate and select technology, and search for technology. , looking for partners, providing information and introducing technology, demonstrating research results with commercial potential to promote cooperation and transfer between domestic and foreign institutes, universities, and businesses;

Consulting on techniques, technology, intellectual property, policies, support programs, financial support channels for research, transfer, and technology innovation activities for businesses and organizations with demand; At the same time, support the organization of technology supply and demand connection sessions for businesses in localities and business communities across the country;

Organize thematic seminars to introduce new technology and technology according to the needs of businesses and localities.

Information from SATI shows that, after 11 years of implementation, the activity has received about 400 technology needs from businesses each year, searching and providing information for more than 2,000. domestic and foreign technology supply, nearly 400 technology expert profiles according to the needs of businesses, organizations and individuals; selected to demonstrate and introduce about 3,000 processes, technologies, equipment, and products of over 1,000 domestic and international institutes, universities, businesses, S&T organizations of provinces/cities, and independent inventors. specializes in events. Through the event, it supported the signing of memorandum of understanding, cooperation agreements and technology transfer between organizations and businesses. From 2015 up to now, each year we have provided technical consulting for about 50 businesses and in-depth consulting for 20 businesses. In addition, to implement the Law on Technology Transfer, SATI has coordinated with relevant units to build and develop a network of technology supply and demand connection points. So far, the network includes 13 points distributed over 5 regions, in 12 provinces/cities, these are intermediary organizations that actively and effectively contribute to the development of the science and technology market in our country.

Develop a national innovation system with businesses as the center

In the context of Vietnam's deep integration into the world economy, the multidimensional impacts of globalization, trade liberalization, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the strong development of science and technology World technology and innovation will bring both opportunities and great challenges for each country in its development journey. Following the annual Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam, in 2023 Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with People's Committee of Quang Ninh province organizes an event with the theme "Innovation - Sustainable Development".

The event is expected to gather about 10,000 people from central and local ministries, departments and agencies nationwide; representatives of Vietnamese and international organizations, corporations, and business associations; representatives of intermediary organizations of the science and technology market; Organizations and individuals interested in participating.
